Mortimer St. John’s Infant School
Our infant school welcomes foundation, year 1 and year 2 children. Nicola Sumner, Headteacher of Mortimer St. John’s School says “It has a dedicated and caring team of staff, governors and parents working together to provide a high quality education for the children. It aims to provide an environment which enables children to achieve high academic standards, to develop an understanding of self and others and to care about the world in which they live.”
Mortimer St. Mary’s Junior School
Our junior school welcomes year 3 and older children. Jo MacArthur, Headteacher of Mortimer St. Mary’s School says: “At Mortimer St. Mary’s, we have a strong whole school ethos that is based on traditional Christian values and our children are encouraged to have respect for other people, other cultures and other beliefs.
We focus on the wellbeing of the whole child and aim to inspire a love of learning. Unhappy children fail to thrive and it is our intention to make all children feel secure and happy here at Mortimer St. Mary’s. We want to give all children confidence in themselves and their abilities as this provides a strong foundation on which to develop a range of literacy and numeracy skills, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and understanding in order to be successful as they move through secondary education and into adult life.
We believe in working together as a supportive community to ensure that the children and our school values are at the heart of everything we do.”
